Bored with the DSi skin?
When you use an R4i card, then you have access to a whole load of new skins. See the skins below (courtesy of http://www.r4i-sdhc.com).
Remember that there is so much more that you can do with an R4i Game Adapter with Nintendo DSi. You can download Legal Free Games and Applications without spending a further penny.
You can usually also find backup download copies of games if you want to protect your original game cartridges from damage or to load them all to a single cartridge … but do note our piracy warning on the right sidebar and do not download games that you do not already own. That is stealing.

I am wanting to purchase a R4i card, 2gb memory card and the 1.4 firmware on. I am just wanting to know if it will definately work on my DSi? As my DSi has been upgrade to enable me to use the internet.
I would be very grateful if you could let me know either way.

If you purchase through the links on this site, then you will be fine using the DSi 1.4 Firmware.
It is impossible to guarantee that it will work with any future Nintendo Firmware, therefore you do need to be prepared to buy another later generation R4i (memory card is reusable) if Nintendo blocks it in future firmware updates or simply don’t upgrade further beyond v1.4 until you see the reported effects of upgrades.
But for now … abslutely fine with that combination.
I have just recently received my R4i Ultra through the mail and downloaded the kernal for it. The kernel seems to be similar to the R4′s kernel of which I bought last year. The themes worked for my DS Lite very well, but when it came to using the R4 skins with the R4i Ultra, the skins weren’t working and the screen appeared to have many dots of colours. I’ve tried downloading the skins from http://www.r4i-sdhc.com but that doesn’t seem to work either so I figured they were for the R4i SDHC carts.
Will there be any themes made for the R4i Ultra in the future? If not, would there be a specific program I would be able to use to convert R4 skins for the R4i?
